What better way to kick off the summer than by heading into London and photographing a lovely couple’s intimate wedding.
Airina & Avi’s wedding was held at The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption and St. Gregory in Soho, London. It’s a very unassuming church on a street near Piccadilly Circus and I’ve no doubt walked passed it before without even a second glance. I certainly won’t forget it since being inside though – it’s a beautiful church with ornate decoration and is a Grade II listed building for clear reasons.
The ceremony was an intimate affair with Airina & Avi’s close family and friends, and the quirky Father Alan. When I first met him he told me he’d smash my camera if I stepped foot onto the Sanctuary… and although he had a slight smile on his face as he said it, I was scared enough to take him at his word! 😬
Avi was calm and collected ahead of the ceremony; just excited to be seeing his bride walking down the aisle. After exchanging their vows and rings, the couple and their guests took Mass, then Airina & Avi headed outside to cheers and confetti! I’m not sure where we’d be without Uber nowadays, because everyone quickly got on their phones to order a fleet of Ubers which took us in no time to the reception in Berners Tavern in The London EDITION.
I managed to grab a few minutes here with the couple for some quick portrait shots before everyone sat down to enjoy a well-deserved lunch. Airina & Avi headed off a few days later to Capri, Italy, where they were having a larger celebration with all of their family and friends. I’m only slightly jealous!
Thank you for our photos, they look amazing 😀
